| dc.description | Introducció: La Organització Mundial de la Salut recomana la lactància materna exclusiva fins als 6 mesos d’edat, complementada amb altres aliments fins als dos anys d’edat, ja que aporta tots els nutrients necessaris i beneficis tant per la mare com pel lactant. Moltes són les causes que influeixen en el cessament, sent important incidir en la lactància materna /nObjectiu: Identificar a través d’una revisió de la literatura les causes d’abandonament modificables de la lactància materna exclusiva, des del punt de vista infermer/nMetodologia: Estudi observacional descriptiu transversal a partir d’una revisió de la literatura d’articles publicats entre el 2004 i 2014, obtenint una mostra total de 31 articles a les bases de dades Medline, Scopus i Scielo. Les variables d’estudi són la lactància materna exclusiva, les causes d’abandonament i els factors de protecció/nResultats: Les principals causes d’abandonament són la hipogalactia (54,84%), la incorporació laboral materna (42%), la dificultat d’agafar-se al mugró (22,58%), el dolor i els problemes clínics (19,35%), el poc suport rebut i la vergonya a lactar en públic (19,35%). Els factors de protecció més prevalents van ser tenir més de 25-30 anys (20%) i un bon nivell educatiu (20%). Els factors de risc van ser principalment un baix nivell educatiu (21,43%) i ser fumadores (21.43%). Dels estudis obtinguts només 8 articles (61,54%) referien que les mares tenien coneixements de la LME, mentre que només 6 articles contemplaven la formació dels professionals sanitaris/nConclusió: Implicar a tots els professionals dins els processos de formació i incloure en els tallers parts pràctiques i promocionar la LME des de l’hospital | |
| dc.description | Introduction: The World Health Organisation recommends exclusive breastfeeding until the baby is six months, complemented with other foods up to two years of age, because of all the necessary nutrients and benefits that provides, both to the mother and the new-born. Although there are a lot of factors which influence exclusive breastfeeding cessation, it is important to encourage breastfeeding/nAim: To identify through a review of the literature the modifiable causes of breastfeeding cessation, from the nursing point of view/nMethods: Descriptive cross-sectional study from a review of the literature of articles published between 2004 and 2014, obtaining a final sample of 31 articles from the databases Medline, Scopus and Scielo that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The variables are exclusive breastfeeding, factors of breastfeeding cessation and protective factors/nResults: The main causes for breastfeeding cessation were hipogalactia (54.84%), labour incorporation (42%), difficulties to grab the nipple (22.58%), pain and clinical problems (19.35%), little of support from the health professionals and feeling embarrassed when breastfeeding in public (19.35%). The more common protective factors were being above 25-30 years old (20%) and having a good educational level (20%). The principal risk factors were a low educational level (21.43%) and being a smoker (21.43%).
