This study defines port infrastructure as all resources related to port development and examines the contribution of port infrastructure investment to economic growth in the three provinces of Shandong, Liaoning, and Fujian. The study selected annual data from 2010 to 2022 for these three provinces and analyzed the relationship between variables representing port infrastructure investment and GDP using a panel data random effects model. The empirical results show that the overall fit of the model is high, and the Rsquared value is very close to 1, indicating that port infrastructure investment explains most of the changes in GDP along with other factors such as transportation investment and employment. In addition, the study found that investment in transportation infrastructure, length of roads and railroads, imports, and higher education had a significant positive impact on economic growth.
